Facts About Our Church
- St. John's UMC was chartered in 1958.
- The original church building was completed in 1960. The Family Life Center was added in 1991.

Our membership is drawn not only from Texas City, but from nearby communities including La Marque, Hitchcock, Santa Fe, Galveston, Dickinson, and League City.

St. John's shares in the worldwide mission of the United Methodist Church by giving regularly to denominational benevolences.
- St. John's is open to all persons who seek to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

The original St. John's UMC building was destroyed by a devating fire September 10, 2009. The Family Life Center sustained considerable damage also and was torn down as a result.
